Creating a Token
Creating a token on Thor Exchange takes one transaction and about a minute. Every token launches with the exact same parameters — there is nothing to configure and nothing a creator can rig.
How to launch
Section titled “How to launch”- Go to thorexchange.xyz/launchpad/create.
- Choose a name, symbol, and upload an image (stored on IPFS, so it’s permanent and decentralized). Optionally add a description and social links.
- Pay the 0.005 ETH creation fee and confirm the transaction.
- Your token page is live immediately — anyone can start buying on the curve.
What gets created
Section titled “What gets created”Every launch deploys the same two contracts:
- The token — a standard ERC-20 with a fixed supply of 1,000,000,000 (1B) tokens. It has no mint function, no burn-from-others, no pause, no blacklist, and no owner. Once deployed, nobody — including the creator and including Thor Exchange — can change how it behaves.
- Its bonding curve — the market the token trades on until graduation. Most of the supply is sold on the curve; the remainder is reserved inside the protocol to become the token’s DEX liquidity at graduation.
The creator receives zero free tokens. If creators want a position, they buy on the curve like everyone else — visibly, on-chain, at the same prices available to everyone.
What creators earn
Section titled “What creators earn”Creators don’t earn from the curve — they earn after graduation: 70% of all LP fees the token’s locked DEX liquidity generates, forever. See Creator Fee Rights.
Practical tips
Section titled “Practical tips”- Buy in the same block as launch if you want the floor price — the curve is public the moment it deploys.
- Symbol and image are permanent. Double-check before confirming; there is no edit function on-chain.
- The token page shows curve progress toward graduation in real time, along with every trade, holder distribution, and a live chart.
